I have been working for Dance Entropy for over three years, and I can confidentially say that I am continuously encouraged as a dancer & artist to explore and teach the styles that I am passionate about. Dance Entropy has given me the opportunity to teach dancehall, afrobeat, hip hop and salsa at many different high schools and older adult centers and I have loved every single residency. Teaching at The Scholars Academy in Queens has been particularly special for me because the students are always so engaged, enthusiastic, and passionate about learning all the styles, even if it's for the first time. I feel like I have built a relationship with a lot of students, because we created an environment that is open-minded, judgment free, and fruitful.
Kenneth Herrera was born and raised in Brooklyn, and pursued acting for three years at Bronx Academy of Letters. He fell in love with dance when he was introduced to break dancing in Honduras. After college, Kenneth devoted himself to years of training at Broadway Dance Center. Kenneth has danced with many dance crews such as Heart Break Crew, Vintage Quality, Hip-Hop Theory, Lakai Dance Company, WRT, DPA, and Cora. Kenneth intends to continue training but has found great passion in teaching all ages throughout New York.
“We just finished up our first two residency performances and everyone is RAVING about Kenn and Dance Entropy. We love Kenn and what he does for our students. They also love him and he has great rapport with them.”
- Christina Quintana, Scholars Academy
