RITE

PREMIERE The Center at WEST PARK, February 29 2024

“RITE” is a healing ceremony, a meditative ritual, and an exorcism of the ego.

Choreographed by Artistic Director Valerie Green, "RITE" is a multi-faceted exploration of our internal struggles with self-image and societal pressures. With a cast of six male dancers, the piece serves as a physical invocation, guiding viewers on a vulnerable journey from Form to Clarity.

Inspired by shamanic journeying and altered states of consciousness, the performance taps into the dancers' instincts, creating a trance-based dance that is a celebration of the human experience. A dynamic exploration of rhythm, energy, and the profound connections between body and soul.

Through our movement, we aim to provoke contemplation and ignite a release of what weighs us down. 'RITE' offers a unique opportunity to delve deep into your humanity and emerge with a newfound clarity, a personal and collective spiritual catharsis.
